The blog entry states that the upgrades will be very helpful and will allow better options in the future. It also says that the first thing that will be noticeable will be the site itself! It sounds good and it seems worth the downtime.

Billybob also says there will be a free item for those of you who participated in the server testing as a token of gratitude, but there is no official date as to when this item will be released; this is because of one of the “new features” the new servers will allow in the future. It sounds even better, now!
